Providing Information Creates Huge Profits… it’s not a worn out phrase.

You’ve probably heard it a thousand times, but I can’t help but stress the importance of using the Internet to produce and provide regular information about your business. This will increase your profits and customer base significantly. Even if you think that you don’t know enough  about the Internet to take advantage of it, you should still attempt to use it. Believe me, I know from experience that learning the ropes can be easy.

Here’s why it’s so important…

Providing your customers with info will make them feel like they are in the “know” — the more that people know about your business, the closer they’re going feel to it. It’s called TRUST.Your business won’t just be another place to buy your next mp3 player, but a place with your personality that they’ll quickly feel comfortable with. This will prompt your visitors and customers to view you as reliable and to depend on you for whatever you offer.

To get started, the first thing you should do is to think about the various types of information you can offer. What do you think your customers want to know about? You can offer anything from stories, whether personal or news-related, to business and product updates. People love to hear about product improvements and upgrades.

Remember, whatever information you decide to offer to your customers, you should provide it on a regular basis.

You might decide to give them updates once a week, or once a month. Either way, make it consistent. And research the topics and ideas you’ll be writing on. For this task I would suggest using a good and reputable Autoresponder service like aWeber. aWeber will help you with managing your customer email list and the even the new visitors that sign up.

Once you’ve got a handle on the type of info you want to provide, decide how you’ll offer it to them.

The Internet provides an endless amount of choices. You shouldn’t settle on just having a web site. Think of ways to connect new customers to your page.

For instance, the first place people go to find any service or product is to a search engine. More people will go to your web site if your business name pops up in their search engine. The easiest way to make sure this happens is to provide a lot of info on a range of topics (that is specifically aimed at your business) on your page.

The words you use for search engines are called  “keywords”. Keywords should be unique short phrases rather than one or two words. One and two word Keywords are much too generic and will target very few if any people to your site. Keywords comprised of 3-7 word phrases will help target the people who are specifically looking for your product or service.

If want more information about keywords… Just type in SEO in the search box at the Top Right of this page and it will pull up several articles about Keyword Strategies and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) for you.

If Keywords and SEO is not something you want to handle yourself…. That’s perfectly alright!

There are thousands of SEO specialists who are willing help you.

Visibility and presence never hurts and you should make your business accessible on popular networks, like Twitter. Use one of these to post product info or updates. By doing so, your product becomes available to a new range of people. If you want, you might even try creating a blog. Don’t ever underestimate “Blogs”… Billions of dollars are made by bloggers ever year. Want more info on Twitter? Just type twitter in the search engine at the top of this page.

Create a section on your web site where customers can subscribe to e-mail updates. You can issue monthly e-newsletters to your customers. You can even send them free e-cards with notes of gratitude. And you can include a short message that details a new offer, directing them back to your web site. The more people on your email list means more potential residual income for you.. For More Info and Articles… Type  in email marketing or list building in the search bar above.

aWeber has all of your emailing solutions (Visit aWeber here) and will even help you create a place for new subscribers to sign up and then helps manage your lists and automated emails to them. Cool eh?

Any business can and should use the Internet as an avenue of communication. I’ve seen vastly different businesses utilize Internet information marketing, and many have profited. Remember, creating the info isn’t enough; you have to think of ways to connect people to it.

The Internet is a wonderful tool to increase your profits and increase your free time.

Blessings and Be Prosperous,

Steve
